Obama: ‘I want to get this thing done’

In a new interview, President Obama said that he is “not interested in” a special session of Congress to repeal Obamacare.

“I don’t think we have to get to that point,” the president told the Associated Press on Thursday.

“But we need to get past the partisan bickering and get this done,” he added.

In a statement, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that Republicans are “playing politics” by attempting to “further politicize” the issue.

“It is time for Republicans to stop making the same mistakes that led us into this mess in the first place,” she said.

“Republicans are playing politics by trying to further politicize this issue, which is unacceptable.”

Democrats have argued that they will use a special election to repeal the law and replace it with a healthcare system that is more efficient and better for Americans.

Republicans have vowed to keep the debate focused on their agenda, and have already made it clear that they want to take the blame for the political impasse.
